Key Functionality:

  1. Create Playlist → Allows the "admin phone" to create the collaborative playlist.

  2. Join Playlist → Allows users to see which playlists are available to join in their immediate area. 

  3. Send Playlist (In Playlist) → Users can send playlist to someone through a text message link.

  4. Add Song (In Playlist) → Allows users to add their favorite songs to the collaborative playlist.

  5. Display Song Title and Artist (In Playlist) → Shows users which song is currently playing and other songs that are queued in the playlist.

  6. Thumbs Up Icon (Next To Each Song In Playlist) → Allows users to vote on which song they would like to hear next. The songs with the most likes play first and show up at the top of the song queue.

INFO381 Project Management

Project Goal:

Make playing music in a group setting less cumbersome to promote an open and collaborative atmosphere.

 

Outcome:

An application that links wireless-capable devices, facilitating music sharing in a group setting.

 

Success Measures:

  1. Users can input songs to the playlist from multiple devices.

  2. Users are able to swiftly create and continuously add to a dynamically generated playlist.

 

Verification:

  1. Songs play smoothly one after another.

  2. Conduct a comparative analysis to see if this solution is better than any existing alternatives.
